The Ethnographic Museum is situated a private house owned by the Eliades family. George Eliades was a renowned archaeologist who founded the museum in 1958 and his wife and daughter continue run the museum today. You'll experience the wonderful old world beauty of this place and the friendy, unhurried atmosphere that prevails here.
The museum is surrounded by an attractive private courtyard which provides a very private setting for the wedding ceremony, while at the same time offering a little of the history of Cyprus. There is a real tomb inside the walls and some fantastic things to see.
Civil services are conducted in the courtyard by Registrars from Paphos Town Hall, or alternatively, you can have an Anglican or Catholic service conducted by a local priest or vicar.
