The Church Wedding Ceremony |
|
Aphrodite Wedding Services offers both Civil and Church wedding
ceremonies, conducted in English. We have a fine selection of popular
venues, traditional or contemporary and a reception can be
arranged at one of the many local restaurants or hotels. |
|
Wedding ceremonies in Cyprus are not available on Saturdays, Sundays or Public
Holidays. Once you arrive at your resort your wedding co-ordinator will
contact you. |

PRIVATE RECEPTION VENUES
|
|
It is getting increasingly difficult to find a private venue for your
reception. Especially, one where you can overlook the sea and enjoy
great food. We are, therefore, proud to present our new marquee outside
of the Evandrea Restaurant in Protaras. Here you will find great food
and wine to suit every palate. This romantic venue features an excellent
children's play area, allowing parents to relax and enjoy the day. With
seating for 25-30 and menus from 6- 12 per head, this is a truly
unique venue, where you will be the only bridal couple present on your
special day! |

|
Note: An interview and
rehearsal with the chaplain normally precedes a church wedding and at
least one Baptism Certificate will be required.

ANGLICAN CHURCH WEDDING VENUES
|

Here, you will find a warm, friendly welcome and real organ
music! This church is very pretty and is located in the centre of
Larnaca, half a mile from the seafront and it is air-conditioned. It can
accommodate 80 to 100 guests and it is an ideal place to go should you
wish to have a church wedding and yet be free to make your own
accommodation arrangements. You can also go here for a Marriage
Blessing. |

the island. Reception facilities at the hotel are very good and cost
CY12 to CY25 per head. Alternatively, upon request, we can arrange a

ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH WEDDING VENUES |
|
Note: For all Catholic Church weddings, the religious service must be preceded by a registry office ceremony. This does not necessarily have to be done on the same day, the choice is yours.
|
|
Catholic Church weddings are available in the Terra Santa Roman Catholic Church in Larnaca, which is an exceptionally beautiful venue.
-
Weddings can only be arranged if the bride or groom have NOT previously been married.
-
You must inform your local
parish priest of your intent to marry overseas and he will need to view both
party's birth certificates. You must ask for a pre-marital enquiry/freedom to
marry, and request that this, together with your baptism records, be sent to
your regional Bishop. Once your regional Bishop is in receipt of these papers he
will forward them on to the Vicar General in Cyprus. The address will be
supplied.
Irish passport holders only;
The government requires that you also obtain a "Nula Osta" from the Minister of
Foreign Affairs in Ireland. This is a special document issued by the government
stating that you have never been married before and are therefore free to
contract a marriage. This document is valid for 120 days from the date of issue.
-
Weddings can take place
Monday to Friday.
-
Charges for the Terra Santa Catholic Church service are by donation only (recommended donation around CY150).
